Heber William (Bill) Sartor Jr.

Heber William (Bill) Sartor Jr, age 83, passed away on November 6th, 2019. He was born on July 15th, 1936, and married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, on June 23, 1955. This year Bill and Shirley celebrated 64 wonderful years together.
Bill was a talented athlete and was recognized as a West High & Utah Softball Hall of Famer. He was also an avid duck hunter and belonged to the Ambassador Duck Club for many years. He also had a love for fishing and spent many days at Strawberry Reservoir with this lifelong friend, Gary Marsh. He enjoyed golfing, visiting Wendover, and enjoyed taking his wife Shirley out to dinner; he’d always be able to tell you where to find the best Chicken Fried Steak. His family and friends were incredibly important to him; he relished the time he was able to spend with them and cherished the many memories they made together.
He is survived by his sweet wife, Shirley, children Sherry, Brooke, Kirk, and Mark, and sons-in-law Mel and Cassey. He is preceded in death by his daughter Shelly, parents Heber and Vivian Sartor, in-laws Elmer and Blanch Richins, grandson Braxton, and sisters Donna (Earl) & Frankie (Bill).
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the North Point 3rd Ward, 1467 North Morton Drive, Salt Lake City and again on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 11-11:45 AM with a funeral service to follow at the same address. Interment will take place at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
The viewing will take place on November 10th from 6-8:00 pm at the North Point 3rd Ward, 1467 North Morton Drive, Salt Lake City. The funeral service will be held on November 11th from 12-00 pm, with an additional viewing one hour prior at the same location. Interment will be at Memorial Mortuaries & Cemeteries at 6500 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville UT. Bring your duck calls so we can blow them in honor of Bill.Service Information
