Hazel C. Rea Hurst

Hazel C. Rea Hurst, our sweet, kind & loving Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in her home into the loving arms of our Savior and was greeted by her husband and parents.
Hazel was born May 12, 1921 in Stockingford, Warwickshire, England. She served during WWII in England on the teletype. While at a dance with friends, she met a very handsome Larry Hurst who was serving in the Royal Air Force. After the war ended they were married on December 20, 1947.
She lived with Larry & her parents in Woodlands, which she always said was some of the happiest times of her life. In 1952, Larry & Hazel left England and settled in Salt Lake City where they made their home. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 24, 1971.
Mom was fun loving, caring and loved her family beyond measure. She loved bowling on her ladies league and especially loved serving in the Temple with her cousin and partner-in-crime, Dorothy for over 12 years. She also faithfully attended the Temple weekly with Dad.
Hazel is survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia Black and Terri (Lee) Martineau. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren (Sean, Jason, Brandon, Jared, Matthew & Nicole) and their spouses; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mom is finally reunited with her parents Aubrey & Ivy Rea and her husband, Larry. Her loving spirit lives on in her family she leaves behind.
