After a courageous twenty year battle with Bipolar Disorder, our loving and caring son, father, brother, and uncle passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2016.
Born September 25, 1972, Hayden excelled at both academics and athletics during elementary and high school. After high school he attended college at Utah State University and Westminster College. He graduated from Westminster “Cum Laude” in December 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management. Hayden held three pilot certifications. He was licensed to pilot single engine planes, multi-engine planes and pontoon planes. He was also the youngest Certified Flight Instructor in Utah qualified to train pilots to fly single and multi-engine planes.
After the onset of his Bipolar Disorder in January of 1996 Hayden worked in the travel and technology industries excelling with jobs with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Gold Coast Travel in Miami, Florida and Voice Stream Wireless in Houston, Texas where he won the national award as Manager of the Year. For the last 9 years Hayden owned and operated CH Flooring in Lehi turning a small start-up company into a highly successful and respected business.
Hayden never hesitated when he was asked what the high point of his life was. It was the birth of his daughter Aspen Rose in 2007. A couple of days after Aspen’s birth Hayden told his mother that he never knew a person could feel so much love or be as happy as he was. That never changed. Throughout the ups and downs of the following years, it was his love for his daughter that kept him fighting and got him over the rough spots. She is, and will always be his princess, his angel and his rock.
Hayden is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Aspen Fraser of Lehi, parents Debra and Frank Fraser of Ephraim, sister Kari Fraser of Woodbine, Maryland, nephew Austin Fraser of Taylorsville and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service for Hayden will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville. Hayden loved the ocean, especially the waters around the southern Atlantic coast of Florida. Hayden will be cremated and, after a family beach party in his honor, his ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean off the South Florida coast.
Rest peacefully son. You fought such a gallant fight, never compromising your love of family, your integrity, your loyalty or your belief that there is good in all of your fellow man. In every possible description of the term, you are our Hero.Service Information
