Harris Boyce Williams

Harris Boyce Williams, age 79, passed away on February 14, 2019 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on June 29, 1939 to Harris and Leora Andrus Williams in Grace, Idaho.
He grew up on a farm in Grace, Idaho where he worked on the family ranch. He rode bulls in the rodeo circuit. He served in the Army for three years and was stationed in Germany. He married the love of his life, Carlie, on November 23, 1968 and they were sealed for eternity in March of 1996 at the Jordan River Temple. He was a truck driver for over 40 years with over one million miles accident free. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Carlie and Boyce enjoyed traveling together in their RV for many years. They traveled to Quartzite, Arizona in the winter and Chesterfield, Idaho in the summer where Boyce helped restored pioneer homes. He enjoyed collecting, cutting and polishing rocks. He was quite the artist and wire wrapped the polished rocks in silver. He loved to spend time most of all with his family playing many games.
Boyce is survived by his loving wife, Carlie, his children: Ken (Lauri) Butterfield, Ron (Lana) Butterfield, Lisa Williams and Lynne Williams. He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters. Boyce is survived by his nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM with a viewing one hour prior at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the same location. Interment to follow the services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.Service Information
