Harold Nanno McGrath (Red) passed away on May 20, 2022 at home. He was born August 13, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Harold Phillip (Bud) McGrath and Kobena (Betty) Orsel McGrath. He attended schools in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following school, he joined the Navy. He served on the USS. Hornet. He received an honorable discharge in 1962. He then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years as a locomotive engineer, retiring in 1999.
He married Janice Jensen on May 2, 1960. They just celebrated 62-years of marriage.
Red loved his family more than anything. He was loving, giving, hardworking, and lovingly sarcastic. He was a one-of-a-kind man.
He is survived by his wife; son, Harold (Brett) McGrath (Paige) of Salt Lake City; daughter, Angelique (Angie) Mortensen (Justin) of Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Brayden Nanno Mortensen, his mother and his father.
He leaves behind his wife, son, daughter, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his loving sister, Barbara Romero of Portland, Oregon, and many more family and friends.
