Harold Daniel Bywater

On September 25, 2018 Harold Daniel Bywater of Murray, Utah passed away peacefully at his home. Harold was born on February 8, 1933 to Milton Alfred Bywater and Lilas Mary Simper. Harold grew up on a farm just west of Brigham City, Utah with loving parents among the antics of 4 brothers.

He loved his country, our principles of liberty, and was forever proud to be a Navy man. Harold was called to serve an LDS mission in the Hawaiian Islands from 1955 to 1957 under President D. Arthur Haycock. He fell in love with the Hawaiian people and their culture.
In 1960 Harold married the love of his life – his eternal sweetheart, Marchene “Mish” Nielsen in the Salt Lake Temple. An avid cougar fan, Harold graduated from Brigham Young University in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree and then a Master of Science degree in 1965. Harold’s second and busiest career of 60 years was a real estate investor which allowed him to teach his children, the “B” team, the value of hard work while remodeling and restoring homes.
Harold was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and while a steadfast disciple served in two bishoprics, as a High Councilman, Stake Sunday School President, Stake Mission President, Gospel Doctrine Teacher and Stake Missionary. Harold loved sharing the gospel and relished teaching again with his wife on their mission to the people of Greenville, North Carolina.
