Hans Alfred Fischer

February 20, 1931 — July 29, 2019

Was born on February 20, 1931 in Berlin, Germany to Emil and Charlotte Baade Fischer. Passed away on July 29, 2019 in Midway, Utah.
Hans was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He served faithfully in many callings including Bishop of the Grant 12 ward.  Hans loved Music.  The calling that he enjoyed the most was Ward Chorister, this was his first calling at 14 and his last calling at 87.  After World War II, his family lived in East Germany, so he had to serve his mission in East Germany.
He married Helga Inge Conrad on August 25, 1951. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple April 1955. Their first son Gerald was born while still in East Germany.
In 1953, Hans, Helga and Gerald left East Germany and finally made it to Salt Lake City, Utah in May of 1954.  His parents and his 3 brothers, Dieter, Jared and Helmut immigrated to Salt Lake also.  His brother Fred and his wife Gisela stayed in Berlin.
He was very proud of his German Heritage but was equally as proud of his US Citizenship and the opportunities that living in America gave his family.
Hans and Helga had 4 more sons. Dietmar, David, Steven and Mike.  Helga passed away in April 1993.  He married Ramona Ashcroft March 25, 1995 and moved to Midway, Utah in 1997.
Faith and Family were everything to him.
He is survived by his wife Ramona, Brother Jared (Astrid), Sister-in- Laws Irene and Shirley Fischer.  Sons Gerald (Mayla), Dietmar (Myrna), David (Pamela), Steven (Wendy), Michael (Tracy). Stepchildren Cyndi Smith, Rhonda (John) Vincent, and Josiah Spillers,
23 Grandchildren  -Kirsten (David) Astle, Jessica (Trever) Whiting, Katie Fischer , Randy (Jenny) Fischer, Tim (Kamie)Fischer, Matt (Torrie) Fischer, Lance (Kendra) Fischer , Mandy (Clint) Turner, Candice Fischer, Joshua (Lexi Odorizzi) Fischer, Paul Fischer, Tyson (Becky) Fischer, Leah (Brad) Setzer, Samuel Tew, Chandler Tew, Kaden Tew, Lexi Fischer, Brooke Smith, Brad Smith, Garret Smith, Kelsie Barnett, Kendall Barnett, Josh (Ashley) Vincent
25 Great Grandchildren – Makay Astle, Declan Astle, Kaylie Whiting, Lorna Whiting, Brad Fischer, Claire Fischer, Harrison Fischer, Reagan Fischer,  Blakelee Fischer, Ben Fischer, Andee Fischer, Kailee Fischer,  Clay Fischer, Miles Fischer, Sammy Turner, Aly Turner, Bree Turner, Cameron Fischer, Brysen Fischer, Makenna Fischer, Noah Fischer, Marcus Odorizzi, Drew Fischer, Cody Fischer,  Dani Fischer.
He is preceded in Death by Parents Emil & Charlotte Fischer, Wife Helga, Brothers Fred (Gisela), Dieter and Helmut. Granddaughter Brooke Smith
The family would like to Thank George and Kathy the Hospice nurses for all of the care and support given Hans and the Family in the final few weeks of his life.
