Hai Van Ngo

March 26, 1927 — January 2, 2022

Hai Van Ngo Age 94 peacefully passed away on January 2, 2022 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Hai was born on March 26, 1927 in Soc Trang, Vietnam to Tong Ngo and Thi Xieu Xuan Truong.  He was happily married to Hue Quach who was his partner in life for 60 years at the time of his passing.
Hai was a devoted husband and father.  He was the perfect father figure to his children. He had a quick-witted personality and was the most patient person you’d ever meet.  He loved taking his kids and grandkids out to eat, not for the food, but for the company that he shares.  His grandkids describe him as the “coolest” grandpa.  His friends described him as a man with the “biggest smile and heart.”
He was an avid basketball fan, who loves to watch basketball, specifically the Utah Jazz.  His favorite past time is enjoying coffee and conversations with his close friends.  You can always count on him to be at the coffee shop in the mornings and chatting for hours on end.
The world has lost a great man, but the other side has gained one.  May he rest in peace.
Hai is survived by his wife, Hue Quach and 4 children: daughters, Linh (husband Dan, daughter Kalie), Chau (husband Tin, daughter Laura, son Brandon), Quan (husband Lam, daughter Emily, son Ethan), and his one and only son Tom (wife Van, daughter Izzie, sons Ian & Izic).
In lieu of flowers or money (i.e., red envelops), the family asks that you make donations on his behalf to any of the two charities that was important to him:
– The Alzheimer’s Association:
