H. Kent Mansell

August 29, 1932 — January 15, 2017

Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Brother, Henry Kent Mansell passed away January 15th, 2017. He was born August 29, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lloyd Blood Mansel and Lollieta Alva Anderson. He graduated from South High and attended the University of Utah. He served an LDS mission in the Eastern States mission, and was drafted into the Army, serving his country for 2 years. He married his long-time friend Marilyn Jean Selander on December 23, 1955. They have 5 children. Kaye Craig (Brent), Mark Mansell (Leslie), Gayle Willardson (Curt), Lynnette Hunt (Elwin), Julie Winkel (Mark), 20 grandchildren and 27 ¾ great grandchildren.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. His favorites were Mission Leader and Ward/Stake Organist. Later in life, he loved serving in the Salt Lake Temple.
Kent worked at Peck-Ash-Parry for many years, and later became co-owner of Mansell Paint and Coatings. After the death of Marilyn he married Dolores Atkinson on May 14, 2009 in the Salt Lake Temple. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Blood Mansell and Lollieta A. Anderson and his wife Marilyn Jean Selander.
A viewing will be held Thursday January 19, 2017 from 6-8 at the Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 So Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, UT. Funeral Services will be Friday Jan 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the LDS church located at 1830 E 6400 So., with a viewing 1 hour prior. Memories may be shared at www.memorialutah.com
