Gwen Bloxham Smith

Gwen Bloxham Smith, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2019 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on April 28, 1940 in Pocatello, ID, to Stanley and Ora Bloxham. She married Sherman Smith on October 15, 1959.
Gwen loved baking, reading, decorating cakes, music, and dancing. Her biggest accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Sherman B Smith aka Chicken, children Penney Dalton, Gordon Smith, Gene (Laura) Smith, Glenn (Allegra) Smith, Garth (Misty) Smith, and Peggy (Jason) Hurd; grandchildren and their spouses Andrew, Daniel, Nicholas, Jennifer, Nicole, Shanelle, Britni, Karras, Candice, Breanna, Bryanna, Destiny, Kaytlan, Michael, Austin, Alex, Abby, Gwen, Trishtin, Trever; 18 greatgrandchildren (with more to come); siblings and their spouses Alayne, Lynn, Lynda, and Gary.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers Errol and Gordon, sister Marga K, her sweet baby boy Sterling, daughter Lori, grandson David, and a few greatgrandchildren who are now in her arms.
A viewing will take place on Monday, July 15, 2019 10:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123, with a funeral to follow at 11:00 AM.
