Guy Kim DeHart passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022. He was born August 18, 1936, in Ogden, Utah, to Louis Kershaw DeHart and Virginia McNamara. When he was a child, his family moved to Payson. He considered Payson his home. At Payson High, he served as the student body president and played guard for the football team.
As a young man, Guy served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Netherlands with his younger brother.
Later he attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a degree in accounting. He excelled in track and field at BYU, eventually going to the Olympic trials.
He married Lore Luise Sennhauser on June 10, 1960. Later they divorced. They raised four children.
While working at Evans and Sutherland, he met and married his wife, LaVonne Fox Case, on June 9, 1990.
He is survived by his wife, sons, daughter, stepson, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cathie and Hali; brothers, Craig, Brian, and Hugh; daughter, Elise, and stepson Bob.
Graveside services will be held February 4, 2022 at 3:00 with an public viewing one hour prior to services at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary; 3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
