Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away January 14, 2022 after a short illness.
Paul was born May 18, 1956 to Kenneth M Sundberg and Gwendolyn A Sundberg. Paul grew up in the Holladay area and graduated from Olympus High School. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Belgium Antwerp Mission. Paul married Gayle McCullough Sundberg, August 16, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of 6 children and 24 grandchildren. Paul was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Many times he would say how blessed he was to have them in his life.
Paul was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was happy to serve and help wherever he was needed. He loved his Savior and truly embodied Christ-like service to all he knew. He was hard working and had many talents that he used to help his family and community. He lived life in the fast lane and found joy in the journey. Paul will be missed tremendously but we look forward to being reunited again one day.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Scott (Stacy) Sundberg, Jason (Kelli) Sundberg, Stephanie (Spencer) Sloan, Christie (Brian) Hailes, Julie (Chris) Conley, Sarah (Tyson) Manning, 10 granddaughters and 12 grandsons. Brothers: Marlin (Tatiana), Jim (Kae), Will (Gail), Mark (Sally), Val (Lori) Sundberg. Sisters: Lynne Birkeland, Sue (Mark) Allen, Becky (Larry) Johnson, Meg (Ted) Erekson. Mother-in-law: Margaret S. McCullough. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Wanda, and grandsons Ian & Aiden Hailes.
