Grace Helen Baker
“Amazing Grace”
October 3, 1915 – December 5, 2015
Grace Helen Tullius Baker, was born October 3, 2015 to Josef and Lena Tullius in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents, sister Emma and brothers Nephi and Hyrum.
She passed away peacefully at her home with family near on December 5, 2015 at the young age of 100.
On July 29, 1939, Grace married Harry Douglas Baker. They were together for 64 years before his death in 2004.
She is survived by her children, Vicki, Gil and his wife Janice, Robyn and Jody; 23 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also puppies Bubbles and Shilo.
Grace was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served as a Visiting Teacher and Ward librarian.
She enjoyed gardening and definitely had a green thumb. She could bring a seemingly dead plant back to life and it would thrive under her care.
Grace loved to dance. She and Harry spent much of their married life square dancing. They went to Hawaii, Saudi Arabia and for several years attended square dancing school in Carmel, California.
She was a caregiver. For 21 years she cared for Harry after his stroke, which was a daunting task, but she did it with love and very little complaining.
Grace will be remembered for her sense of humor, her shoes of many colors, her banana cream pie, oatmeal cookies, and her determination to live life on her terms.
She died as she lived, doing everything when she was ready to do it.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00am at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 -10:45am at the mortuary.
