Grace Bair Bowler graduated from mortality on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from causes incident to age. She rejoined her sweetheart for Valentine’s Day.
Grace was born on September 30, 1926 to Francis Leonard Bair and Laura Ethel Buxton Bair in Shelley, Idaho. She enjoyed a loving home and a large family with six brothers and one sister. She has finally met her brother Joseph, who died the day of his birth. She is the last of her parent’s children to pass through the veil.
On May 15, 1946 Grace was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple to Wallace Walter Bowler, who was the older brother of her close friends Marjean and Maxine Bowler. Wallace and Grace then moved to Utah, settling in Sandy, where they lived happily for the rest of their lives.
Although, as Grace put it, she was born shy, she was very loving and kind to family, friends and strangers. She never dwelled on the difficulties of life, and always found the beauties and sweetness around her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Grace is survived by her children, Larry W. Bowler (Kathy), R. Christine Bowler, David A. Bowler (B.J.), D. Kevin Bowler (Marilu), and J. Mark Bowler (Penny), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Pamela and by her husband Wallace W. Bowler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Crescent 16th Ward LDS chapel at 275 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.
In honor of Grace, who never cared for black, we invite those attending the services to wear cheerful colors.
Interment will be at the Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery located at 10055 S State St, Sandy, Utah following the service.
We extend our gratitude to the staff at the Wentworth at Willow Creek and Symbii Home Health and Hospice for their kind assistance to Mom during her stay.Service Information
