Gloria Jean Gardner Connelley, age 82, passed peacefully on January 5, 2020, in her daughter’s home in Riverton, Utah.
Gloria was born on August 19, 1937, in Payson, Utah to Elbert Lionel Gardner and Julia Bernice Lange. She married Eugene E. Connelley, Jr. on March 9, 1957. Mom loved to go camping, boating, and was one heck of a fisher-woman. It would be no surprise for her to reel in the biggest fish. She enjoyed an occasional visit to Wendover with a little gambling or floor show. She mainly went for their amazing buffets. I am sure Bryan and I will never forget her plastic-lined purse to bring home left-overs. Gloria often dreamed of being an actress. From her photo’s we believe she should have pursued this. What an amazing seamstress, she spent hours putting love and perfection into every project. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Gloria is survived by her son Bryan Connelley, her daughter Melanie (Cory) Gagon; grandchildren Tonya (Charlie), Nicole, Aerien, Rylee, Kolbee; great-grandson Phoenix Hertig; siblings, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and their families.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
