Glenna Rae Lukes age 83 passed away peacefully Tuesday January 19, 2021 at the home of her son in Tooele, Utah. Glenna was born on January 14, 1938 to Frank Lazell Norris and Ada Diantha Thompson, in Cedar City, Utah the youngest of 15 children. Glenna married Robert Lee Lukes July 16, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They spent 57 years together raising their family. Glenna loved her family, she always made her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren feel like they were her favorite, she always knew something special about each one. Glenna was a skilled seamstress spending her career making custom drapes for custom designers. After retiring, Glenna and Bob started their own business “Glenna’s Custom Drapes” where they worked side by side until Bob’s death, you would always find them in their work room, mom sewing away and dad playing with his dog Sparky.
Glenna loved animals, she fed and cared for countless stray cats, one feral cat hung around for at least 15 years, giving birth to at least 64 kittens which had to be caught and taken to the shelter.
Glenna is survived by Her sons Danny Lee (Kathryn), David Robert ( Jilleen), Douglas Rulon (Jill) and 12 grandchildren and 24 great grand children.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, all but one of her siblings, her husband Bob, their daughter Debora Rae, and grandson Danny Jr.
A graveside service will be held Saturday January 30, 2021 at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery at 2:00 PM, a family viewing will be 1 hour before.
