Glenna Feller

July 12, 1926 — January 6, 2015

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Glenna R. Feller passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with her children by her side.
Glenna will be dearly missed by her six children: Tanji Goodfellow, Terri (Steven) Hall, Tauni (Les) Powers, Don Edward Feller (Cyndi), Mary Traci (Rod) Nelson and Carl Glen Feller (Belle).
Glenna was born July 12, 1926 to Glen F. and Lola Curtis Robins in Kaysville, Utah. She attended Davis High School. While attending David High School she performed in plays and operas and was Editor of the Davis High School yearbook. She continued her love of music through her later years by purchasing a piano and taking lessons into her 80’s.
After graduation, Glenna worked at Hill Field Air Force Base and the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah. After the war she worked at Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Kaysville. While helping patrons on the telephone line she met Don W. Feller. He asked her for a date. After one date they eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada and were married on August 4, 1947. Don was the love of her life and they spent fifty-nine wonderful years together. They loved to travel and were wonderful dance partners.
Don and Glenna lived in Kaysville, Utah after they married and during this time Glenna was named Homemaker of the Week for December 6, 1956 and was commended for her sewing, homemaking skills and cooking while 5 of her 6 children were not yet in school. Glenna was a gifted quilter and won many awards for her quilting designs and intricate handwork. She was very proud of her accomplishments in this area.
The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1957 and Don and Glenna became partners and ran their own wholesale and retail meat business, Feller Freezer and Meat, in Granger, Utah. They retired in 1982 and moved to Baja, California. They both loved the ocean and spent many exciting years there building several homes and enjoying the weather. They returned to Utah in 1995 and lived in St. George for 9 years before returning to Salt Lake City in 2004.
Don and Glenna were sealed in marriage in the Salt Lake Temple on November 10, 1975. They served a Memorial and Statistical Record Mission for the LDS Church while residing in St. George, Utah and were active members of their Ward.
Glenna is survived by her six children, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, her brother Dee Curtis Robins, sisters Clover Carroll and Ruth Stringham and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Don W. Feller, her parents Glen Frederick and Lola Curtis Robins; sisters Alta (Seth) Blood, LaRue (Blaine) Pack, Olive (Grant) Bringhurst, Bonnie (George) Heywood and daughter in law Kathy Gabert Feller.
