Glenn Lemmons

February 6, 1932 — April 27, 2014

“Bubba" Glenn Lemmons, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, was reunited with his darling Jean on April 27, 2014, at the age of 82.
Glenn was born in Laverne, Oklahoma, to Alexander Harvey Lemmons and Laura Ellen Valentine. After serving in the United States Navy, he married Jean Anderson on December 9, 1949, and enjoyed nearly 60 years with her until her death in 2009.
Glenn was a peacemaker, a truly kind and generous man who got along with everyone he met. His personal integrity was his defining characteristic. His company, Glenn Lemmons Construction, was known for the quality of its work. Glenn was a longtime resident of West Jordan until 2009. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he found great joy in serving others.
Glenn is survived by his children, Laurie Pace, Robert Lemmons and Shirlene Bastar; as well as seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jay Lemmons, Jane Olive Dunn, Loree Wolfe and Charles Lemmons. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Sunrise Senior Living at Holladay and Inspiration Hospice for their loving care and support.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4500 South Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Glenn’s name to Alzheimer’s disease research. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.holladaycottonwoodmortuary.com
