Glenda May Workman Kichas

May 24, 1932 — January 17, 2020

Early Friday morning, our beloved mother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Evanston, Wyoming to Joseph Arthur and Edna May Workman on May 24, 1932. A graduate of East High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Sam Nick Kichas, on September 29, 1951. They made their home in Holladay, Utah where they raised four children.
Mom was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading and doing craft projects, but her greatest joy was being Grammy.
Mom and Dad loved to travel. They were able to visit many states until Dad passed away in 2001. She disliked the cold winter months which she used as an excuse to winter in her San Diego home, but always returned home in the summer to Sandy, Utah.
Survived by her children, Debra (Mark) Fitzgerald, Kevin (Vicki) Kichas, Kathryn Miyake, and Christine Kichas. She will be missed by 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Grace Workman and Lois Kichas and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Glen Workman.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Special thanks to Father George Nikas and Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary.
