On Tuesday, September 28, 2021 Glena Vion Martin, Mother, Grandma, Sister, and Friend passed away peacefully in Cottonwood Heights surrounded by her family. She was 86.
Glena was born January 11, 1935 in Boise, Idaho to May Hawks and Jack Horton. Glena worked for Abbott, where she retired after 25+ years of employment.
Glena married Kent J Martin on September 12, 1981. They were married 39 years when Kent passed away in 2020.
Glena loved to travel with her husband and friends. She loved camping, playing cards, and making ceramics. Most of all she loved to dance. Glena was artistic, sassy, and fun. She was called our little ladybug-small, but mighty.
Glena was preceded in death by her husband Kent; her parents, Jack and May; brothers, Leon and Calvin and grandchildren, Justin Carlston and Charity Bertelsen She is survived by her children- Bill and Ann Bertelsen, Lorie Peacock, and Jean and Vaughn Carlston. Also by her grandchildren- Brandy (Damion), Desiree (Nate), Laci (Kenneth), Ashley (Dallas), Nuthaniel (Katie) and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Sharon, Brenda, Ilya, and Leona.
Funeral services will be held on October 3, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah with a viewing from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery.
