Glen Young

Glen Dale Young Jr. born September 23, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by his parents Glen and Doris (Simpson) Young, sisters Doris and Ron Roeling, Connie and Randy Fausett and Sharrie Wrona. He has many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly including Marty her children Kody, Kory and Mykayla, Brian and Tiffany and their children Tyson, Alexis and her son Hunter, Greg and Treesa and their children Aubrey and Zakery, Brandi and her children Hayley and Riddick, John and Shiloh and their children Kayley and Jimmy, Kea and her children Kenyon and Keyana. Glen may have never had children of his own but he had a nurturing and very protective spirit and children absolutely adored him.
Glen had the most amazing spirit and could bring joy to anyone in seconds. He could always make you smile no matter how bad of a day you might be having. Nobody had a bigger heart than Glen, he always enjoyed helping people and being a part of whatever he could get involved in. Glen had an incredible passion for building bikes of all shapes and sizes that won him several awards. His favorite thing to do was fishing, camping and riding his quad, especially in Kamas. One of Glens favorite places to go was the Maverick Center, he was a true fan of the Utah Grizzlies and knew both the team and staff personally.
Glen had the strength most of us could only dream of; he went through so many trials and tribulations growing up but still never let it bring him down. We almost lost him 4 years ago but Glen proved even the best of doctors at I.M.C wrong, with the help of the staff at Hunter Hollow Glen was walking and talking again against all odds. We want to thank the staff of Hunter Hollow, Glen loved the outings you took him on and enjoyed playing B.I.N.G.O weekly. He was known by many and loved by all. Although he is gone he will never be forgotten.
Services will be held Thursday September 3, 2015 at 3:30 Memorial Estates in Taylorsville, Utah. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up in Glen’s name at the Bank of Utah.
