Gladiol Namauu

February 15, 1930 — May 27, 2014

Gladiol was born on Waiehu, Maui to Charles Kapeliela Namauu and Rachel Lahela Kanakaokai. He married Donna Bailey on February 14, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. Gladiol served a full-time LDS Mission in Hawaii, also served as a labor missionary, building the Church College of Hawaii and renovating the Laie Temple. Gladiol also held several church calling throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna and their children, Nalani, Noel (Tammy), Neil (Michelle), Charles, Noelani; 10 grandchildren; sister, Hana of Oahu. Preceded in death by his parents and 13 brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held Friday, June 13th, 6 – 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. with services on Saturday at 12:00 noon, with a viewing one hour prior to services. The family would like to thank IHC Hospice for making Gladiol’s last days comfortable.
