Gerald (Jake) B. Lambourne

February 16, 1930 — December 28, 2024

Holladay

Gerald B. Lambourne (Jake), our patriarch, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2024 in his home in Holladay, Utah. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 2 in the cultural hall at 2625 East Milo Way (4910 South) in Holladay from 6-8pm. At Dad's request, there will be no public viewing. Funeral services will be held the following day, January 3 at 11am at the same location in the Milo Way chapel.

Dad was born in the front room of his parents' home on Holladay Blvd on February 16, 1930 in Holladay, Utah to Mary Brockbank and Owen Clifton Lambourne. He was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Granite High School and then served in the United States Navy. Upon his return, he had the thought to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Northwestern States Mission. From there he returned home, found his one true love, Louise Martin and they were sealed on June 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. He promptly went to work building an amazing company with his lifelong friend from the mission field, Robert Stephenson. That company was Superior Soft Water, later changing the name to Superior Water and Air.

Jake is survived by his sister, Elaine Boyer of American Fork, Utah and his children, Bonnie (Val) Arbon, Robyn (Ed) Cheeseman, Michael (Cynette) Lambourne, Mark (Kim) Lambourne, Mark (Kally) Lambourne, Kare (Dan) Weir, Kris (Jason) Rogers, Scott (Katherine) Lambourne, Hollie (Dustin) Wood. Dad is the grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Dad lived a life of service in the church, serving in many, many callings including as Mission President with our mom in the (Great!) Colorado Denver Mission from July 1975 to July 1978. Dad then served as a Sealer in the Jordan River and Salt Lake Temples for over 30 years. He sealed all of his children to spouses and many, many grandchildren to spouses. Nothing gave him more satisfaction than teaching the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. After his reunion with so many friends and relatives, he will eagerly get back to work in helping to gather Israel.
