Georgia S Farley

August 18, 1952 — February 24, 2018

On the evening of February 24th, 2018, after a brief and valiant fight from medical complications, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Georgia was born on August 18, 1952 in Lehi, Utah, the daughter of Richard “Dick” Sorenson and Georgette Sorenson. She grew up in Park City and attended Park City High School. In August 1974, she married Michael Ford Farley and together had six children.
In over 40 years of her career in Retail she forged many friendships and if you were fortunate enough to be her friend, you were family. Georgia truly valued the friendships she had and especially loved the opportunity for bowling, coffee, conversation and laughs.
Georgia has left behind a legacy of love, laughter and sacrifice. She never left a doubt that she loved her kids unconditionally and no matter what, they could always turn to her for love and support. She had many passions in life, but none superseded her family. Family first, everything and everyone else was secondary. That included herself as she was the most selfless person that we know. She was never caught up in the material things of life, her foundation was solid, being her own person and doing things her way and all those that knew her, loved her for that.
Georgia passed as only she could, her way on her terms surrounded by all those that mattered most to her. She will be deeply missed. But this isn’t goodbye, this is only until we are together again.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Richard “Dick” Sorenson (Father), Georgette Sorenson (Mother), Christopher Mark Farley (Son) and Hyrum Shane Farley (Grandson). She is survived by Michael F. Farley, children, Shane (Annette) Farley, Sydney Farley, Melissa (Matt) Morris, Sarah (Cody) McMichael and Adam (Lauren) Farley. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, two brothers Rick and Rod along with two sisters, Linda and Cathy.
