George, age 51, passed away January 23, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born March 12, 1962 in Salt Lake City, UT to George and Leah Turner Tourigny. Married Mary Patricia Heeb.
Raised in Salt Lake City, George attended West High School. He worked as a painter for 27 years at the University of Utah. He like the outdoors, including fishing and camping. George adored his grandchildren and sometimes even his children. He enjoyed his guns and truck. George was someone you could always count on and was there to help with any situation. He survived throat cancer and later passed from lung cancer, but through it all maintained a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that would light a room.
Survived by his children, Brittany Hill, Emily (Charlie) Keomanyvanh, Kristin (Robert Best) Tourigny and George Jr.; 17 grandchildren; brother, Wayne (TamTam) Turner and sisters, Tammy Ragland and Janet Turner. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patricia and his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan with a viewing one hour prior. Online condolences at www.redwoodmortuary.com.
