George Nicholas Melissas passed away on March 4, 2017 with his wife Mary by his side, George was born June 5, 1933 in New York City to Nicholas and Mary Zekas Melissas. He touched the lives of all those around him with humor and honesty.
He has been married to Mary Marganis Melissas for 56 years. George served his country in the US Navy from 1955-57. He also retired from Huish Detergents after many years. Funeral services will take place March 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church (5335 Highland Dr., Holliday, UT) a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service, also at the church. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Deseret Memorial Mortuary.Service Information
