Our beloved husband-to-be, son, brother and uncle, George Richard Irving Jr. passed away May 7th, 2015 after a brief illness.
George was born January 19, 1962 at Camp Pendleton in California to George and Sandra Irving. Raised in Montpelier, Idaho and moved to Utah with his Sister and his Mother in 1973.
George attended school in the Salt Lake area and obtained several college degrees in his continuous quest for knowledge. He loved martial arts, obtaining several belts throughout the years and was always on a constant quest to be as healthy as he could possibly be. He found success for several years as a comedian at Wise Guys WVC under the stage name “Alex Irving.”
He met and fell in love with Rachel and they planned to be married.
George is survived by his Mother: Sandra Kays, his Fiancé: Rachel, Mother-in-Law: Ann, Nephew: Jeremy(Heidi) Anderson, Nieces: Christina(Josh) Howland, Stephanie(DJ) Sala and Melissa (Nicholas) Speirs, many great nieces and nephews, and long-time friend Duane Armijo.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Sr. , Step-Father, Richard, Sister Jody, Brother-in-Law, Ronnie, Grandparents on both sides.
Special thanks is to be given to the staff at St. Marx Hospital, especially his nurse Brian, who tried so hard to save him.
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates in their cremation niche. A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday June 6th, from 11:00AM-2:00PM at 5026 W. Odell Drive, West Valley City, UT 84120.
