George Finnegan, age 74, passed away on January 31, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1949, in Murray, Utah, to James A. Finnegan and Fay Sanders Finnegan. His loving daughters, grandchildren, family, and friends will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his daughters Mindy (Jerimie) Thorne and Melanie Finnegan; his cherished grandchildren Connor (Katie) Thorne, Bridger Thorne, Sara Thorne, and Brayden Poplin; and his brother Jack (Carla) Finnegan.
George was the youngest of 11 children and is preceded in death by his parents, James A. Finnegan and Fay Sanders Finnegan; his brothers, Joe, Tim, Jim Sr., John and Mike; and his sisters, Marie, Shirlee, Doris, and Patsy.
George found solace in the great outdoors in his younger years, enjoying hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered for joyfully watching his grandchildren's activities and sports. He was an avid baseball fan and loved to watch any game he could, from his grandkids' little league games to the MLB. For most of his career, he worked in the construction industry, spending a portion of his time with family and friends at Finn-Wall, along with other endeavors where he used his knowledge and witty personality for success.
