George Bromfield died peacefully Friday September 17, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.
George was born on March 26, 1944. In Bridport, England to Muriel Kathleen Bromfield and William Bromfield. George had a successful engineering career. He worked for the Ministry of Defense and spent time on submarines. His work brought him and his family to Utah in the early 1990s where he developed ultrasonic medical devices. George was happily married to Doreen Bromfield, his devoted wife of 53 years.
George is survived by his wife, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Besides spending time with his family George loved to walk and hike in the mountains, spend time at Bear Lake, camp, bike, ski, visit family and friends in England, and travel the world. He had a positive personality and generous heart. George would strike up a conversation with anyone encountered.
George will have a green burial at Memorial Holladay Cemetery. A small private service will be held after. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to:
