George Henry Berryman husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away of a broken heart after the passing of his beloved wife Joan in January. Born on November 21, 1937, to George Henry Berryman and Edith Marcia Reid. George served as a mechanic in the army during the Vietnam war time of 1960-63.
George married his love of almost 61 years, Sarah "Joan" Berryman, on March 20, 1964. They were later sealed for eternity in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on February 9, 1972. George passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 87.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan, his parents, sister Barbara, his sons; Mark Alan Berryman and Marty Lee Berryman, and his son-in-law, Michael Garn Woodall and his beloved dog Beau. George is survived by his brother Thomas Reid Berryman, his devoted daughters, Marcie Westbrook (Peter) and Michaele Green (Devan), and daughter-in-law Kristi (Marty) Berryman; and seven cherished grandchildren.
George loved spending his summers at the family cabin in Bear Lake, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and working in the garage.
He always loved riding a train anywhere it would take him. He and his wife had a passion for the open road, often riding his motorcycle with Joan by his side, embracing the thrill of long rides together.
George spent his career as a glazier, he even owned his own company Pioneer Glass for a few years in sugarhouse. George worked hard and was proud of his work. He helped create many beautiful glass buildings that he loved to show off to others.
We would like to thank Heather and her staff at Serenity for their help and support of George and Joan over the last year.
A graveside memorial for George will be held on March 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine St, Murray, UT 84107.
