Gaylene Chapman

Gaylene F. Chapman, 54, passed away on April 12, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gaylene was born on August 18, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gordon Lee and Carolyn H. Ferguson. She married the love of her life, Steven M. Chapman, on November 28, 1984.
Gaylene loved children, teaching, camping, and being around friends. She graduated from Salt Lake City College as a Registered Medical Assistant. She worked in several doctors offices. She later started teaching pre-school at Horizonte. She enjoyed teaching kids to read. Later she worked for several properties as an Assistant Leasing Manager.
Gaylene is survived by her husband; Steven M. Chapman, daughter; Jessica (Jason) Guison, son; Benjamin, father; Gordon L. Ferguson, sister; Janet (Henry) Sartori, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter; AnnaLisa, mother; Carolyn, grandparents, and stillborn son; Christopher.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM following a family viewing from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Rose Park North Stake Center, 1200 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
