Gauge Reo Thornton

February 14, 2013 — October 21, 2021

February 14, 2013 ~ October 21, 2021
Our little warrior, Gauge Reo Thornton, passed away on October 21, 2021 at 10:10 am after a valiant fight against cancer. He was 8 years old.
Gauge was born on the day we celebrate love, February 14, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jamie Thornton and Dennis Thornton. He has two older brothers, Trexler Pettinger and Kasen Bagshaw.
Gauge was a fun, energetic little boy who loved to be outside. He was always on the move and especially loved anything that had wheels! He could often be found zipping around the neighborhood on his bike visiting and talking to all the neighbors. He also enjoyed drawing, creating crafts, legos, playing video games and watching funny YouTube videos. He also loved music and dancing.
He attended Liberty Elementary where he made many friends and was loved by all.
In early 2019 Gauge was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer. He was a fighter and fought until the end.
He brings joy and happiness to all who know him. He is a gift. He is needed for greater things in this universe. He is forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his mother, Jamie Thornton, his father, Dennis Thornton, his brothers, Trexler Pettinger and Kasen Bagshaw, his nana, Robin Harman, his grand mommy, Mary Thornton, his great grandparents, LaMont and Mary Lou Davis, his aunts, Stefanie (Christiaan) Goebel, Christy (Jake) Kinney, uncle Colton Harman, and his cousins, Gia, Zoe, Jet, Brady, Tyler, Jaydon and Eli.
Gauge is preceded in death by his grandpa, Dennis Reo Thornton, his grandpa, Steve Harman, his great grandparents, David & Elaine Harman, and Betty Logelin.
We are forever grateful for the many doctors, nurses and medical staff at Primary Children’s Medical Center, Home Health and Hospice for their time, talents and love towards Gauge.
