Gary Dean Snyder passed away October 13, 2017 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born June 11, 1942 in Price, Utah to Dollie and Homer Snyder. Gary moved to Salt Lake City where he met his future wife, Beverly Jean Tracy. Gary and Beverly were married 3 months later on September 11, 1965. They spent 52 beautiful years together.
Gary worked hard and he played hard. He was true to his motorcycle club to the end. He was a talented man who was able to fix, repair, and replace anything broken in the most unusual way. He was an honorable man and his word was his bond, he helped everyone that needed help and never quit until the job was done. He taught us all that family is the most important thing and they are who you will always carry with you. “Family Forever”.
He is survived by his wife Beverly and his two daughters and two sons; Debbie (Shellie) Haymond, Tracey Snyder, Steven (Tammy) Snyder, Matt Snyder and his granddaughter Alanah who he helped raise as his daughter. He will be missed by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and by his very special granddaughter Shelby.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes scattered. There will be a celebration of life to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to Huntsman Cancer Institute or just volunteer your time to a cause you love.
Gary lived one hell of a life! FYB (it’s a Snyder thing)
