Gary Leo Tew

Gary L. Tew, father, grandfather, brother and husband passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017. Gary was born February 11, 1929 in Salt lake City, Utah to Leo and Evelyn Tew. He married Merle Blain in 1954  and together they had four children, (later divorced). He married Carolyn Ann Miller in 1982.
Gary enlisted into the military right out of High School, serving in Germany as part of the occupation force.
His career included being a telephone installer for Mountain Bell, security guard and a brief time in construction.  He loved gardening, golf, and bowling.  He was on the same bowling team for over 40 years and most importantly he loved spending time with his family.  He especially looked forward to the yearly Tew Family Reunions
Gary is survived by his children: Robert (Barbara), Lori (Kevin), Stacey (Ray) and Michelle, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Paul and Boyd.  Gary is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn and his mother and father.
A viewing / memorial will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM immediately followed by the graveside services at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road.
