Gary Lee Clement, 66, passed away on March 21, 2020, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on November 14, 1953, in Brigham City, Box Elder County, Utah, to Lee Ellis Clement and Ruth Gilbert Clement.
Gary graduated from Box Elder High School in 1972 and was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He served his country as a Private in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gary enjoyed playing community basketball in his youth. He had a kind heart and was loved by people. He is known for his infectious, growling laugh. He was a big teddy bear of a man and loved a good meatloaf and cheesecake.
He will be missed.
Gary is survived by his sister, Joni (Jonathan) Clement Prince, and his brothers, Scott Lee Clement and Craig Lee Clement. He is preceded in death by his father, Lee Ellis Clement and mother, Ruth Gilbert Clement.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park at 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah, 84065.
There will be no viewing held.
Because of the nature of the times we are currently living in, and to help us respect social distancing, the graveside service will be by invitation only. The funeral home will be live-streaming the graveside service for those that would like to participate.
