Gary J Bennett

Gary J Bennett, age 85, passed away on May 19, 2024 in Kearns, Utah. He was born on April 15, 1939 in Mapleton, Utah to James Roberts Bennett and Ruby Olean Early. Gary married Renon Sheriff on July 18, 1958. 

Dad was loved by many, he was the social butterfly that everyone enjoyed having conversations with. He enjoyed fishing (aka Mr. BIG FISH), hunting, camping, bowling, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends. Often, you could find him putting his years of mechanic work to use, tinkering in the garage. He was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Gary is survived by 5 sons, Brad (Melodee) Bennett, Mark Bennett, Brian (Tammy) Bennett, Kris Bennett and Aaron (April) Bennett. 13 grandchildren Amber, Erin, Kristopher, Joel, Daniel, Michelle, Tiffanee, Brandee, Matt, Kody, Russell, Colby and Kaitlynn. 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Siblings Beverly, Burt, Calvin, Sherry and Ken. 

He is preceded in death by Parents James Roberts and Ruby Olean Bennett.  Siblings Jack Bennett, Robert Dean Bennett, Robin Bennett and grandson Brandon Bennett.

A viewing will be held on May 30th from  6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and on May 31st 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary. 

Interment will be at 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
