Gail Schenk Zitting

Gail Schenk Zitting passed away June 4, 2022 in her home in Taylorsville Utah. Gail was born August 17, 1943 in Burley Idaho. The daughter of Mildred and Henry Schenk. Married the love of her life John Kilgrow Zitting on February 15, 1963 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for all time and eternity February 14, 1966. Gail was loved by everyone she crossed paths with. She loved genealogy and connecting families together. She spent a lot of her time doing genealogy research for deceased ancestors. She also spent a lot of her time in the temple doing Ordinances. She also loved to read, quilt, and spend time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, John Zitting, 8 children Carrol Haygood, Steven Zitting, Dan Zitting, Lori Maddox, Shawna Erdmam, Becky Zitting, Crissy Arellano, and Matt Zitting. Also survived by her pride and joy her 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survived by her sister Karen Story. Gail is preceded in death by both her parents and two sisters Edith Wright and Carol Schenk. Open Viewing will be held on Thursday June 16, 2022 at 3500 West 4850 South, Taylorsville, UT 84129 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Friday a short viewing prior to the funeral will be held then following will be the funeral service from 1-2 at the LDS church house 3500 West 4850 South, Taylorsville, UT 84129. Friday June 17, 2022. Grave side services following funeral service at Redwood Memorial Cemeteries 6500 South Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123.
