Gail Lee Burch

Gail Lee Burch, 86, formally of Murray, passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2016. He was born June 6, 1930 in Windslow, Arizona to Barney Lee Burch and Julia May Mannering. Gail married Donna Ailene Cochrane on February 4, 1953. He retired as a MSGT, after spending 21 years in the U. S. Army. He obtained an Associate Degree at Utah Technical College in Taylorsville, Utah. Using his degree, he obtained a job working for Allied Chemical in Green River, Wyoming. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, planning and attending family reunions. He also loved attending reunions with his military alumni. Gail was a long time member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks associations. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna Ailene Cochrane, son Steven Craig, parents Barney Lee and Julia May Mannering Burch, and a sister Odessa Carol. He is survived by his sons Michael W. (Rhoda) Burch, Gary L. (Peggy) Burch, Kevin B. Burch, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandsons, 1 brother (Kenneth), and 3 sisters (Anna, Dawna, and Jackie). He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Viewing will be held at the LDS Church, located at 6300 S. 3rd E. on Sunday 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will also be a viewing on Monday, September 19th from 10 am to 11am at Utah Veterans Memorial Park with the service and internment to follow.
