1942 – 2021
Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Ray Olsen, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many, died in his home in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 78.
Ray was born September 7, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Fredrick and Lenora Olsen.  He attended South High School, was a member of the Utah National Guard, and a dedicated employee of Cream O’Weber Dairy for many years.  He and Alice Landvatter were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, December 1st, 1965.
Ray was known for his friendly outgoing personality, kidding nature, stubbornness, and love for his family.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating trips with family and shooting pool with his buddies.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice who he missed dearly, his sister Charlene, and twin sister Kay.  He is survived by his two children Daren Olsen and Cerise (Mark) Nichol, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Ray’s wishes, no formal memorial services will be conducted in his behalf. Ray will be interned at Memorial Estates Cemetery in Cottonwood Heights in a family graveside ceremony and will be laid to rest next to his wife Alice. We will mourn his loss and celebrate his life as a family.
The family desires no remembrances however we encourage you to get outside, go fishing, shoot a game of pool, help a friend, or donate to a charity, however you choose to remember him.
