Our beloved wife and mother Frankie Lou Imlay Evans returned home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday January 28th, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born in Fort Collins, Co on November 6, 1953 to Glenn and Coleen Imlay.
She met the love of her life in June 1971 while attending a Drive-In Movie. Craig had been home from his mission to Denmark for only a week and was there with a group of young adults. They dated for a few months and were later married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 31st, 1972 for Time and All Eternity. They were blessed with six wonderful children.
During her life she felt like her family and church were extremely important. She served in many church callings including Relief Society Counselor, Sunday and Primary teacher, scouting, nursery, etc. She also served two missions with Craig in her later years.
She loved her family and cherished the time spent whether in person or on the phone. Her children and grandchildren loved her rubbing their hair and tickling their ears.
She welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. Her children’s friends were welcomed as her own. She loved to tell stories about her life experiences and had a flare for details. She took every opportunity to tell her stories with everyone she met. If you had a 5 minute conversation with her she would brag about her length of marriage, family, and her BMW.
She loved to travel with her husband and they visited over 30 countries together. Most recently they enjoyed a trip to Australia and New Zealand.
She loved officiating in sports and was proud of the fact she was one of the first women to officiate in men's sports for the church. She also did men, women and coed sports officiating for the city and county.
She was very talented with her hands and loved to sew, crochet and cross stitch and did very detailed work. She was an excellent seamstress making clothes for her family and others.
She is survived by her loving husband Elvis Craig Evans, her six children: Nikkole Evans Fresh (Brad), Travis Evans (Marisa), Jared Evans, Brad Evans (LeeAnn), Daynen Evans (Christi), IngeLisa Gabardi (Joey), brother Jerry Imlay (Louise), 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Glenn and Coleen Imlay and grandson Henry Elvis Evans (Hank).
