Frank Pasquale Zumpano

Frank Pasquale Zumpano Sr. passed away peacefully on August 6, 2021, in Murray, Utah. He was born on March 27, 1923, to Frank G. Zumpano and Rachel Lena Santoro Zumpano in Salt Lake City, Utah.
While visiting a friend that lived on Fletcher Court in Salt Lake City he met the girl of his dreams, May Gout. They began courting and soon after they were married on April 2, 1945. They were happily married for sixty-five years. They were blessed with four loving children that were their pride and joy. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family doing recreational activities such as, camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. Rockport and Flaming Gorge were some of his favorite places to go boating and fishing. Family get togethers were some of the highlights of his life.
Frank was a kind, loving, thoughtful friend to all who met him. He was always happy and had a great sense of humor. He loved reading and learning new things. He enjoyed watching the History and Nature Channels. Other favorites he enjoyed were UFC, boxing, and the stock market channels. In his youth, he loved body building. He later built a gym at his home so he could pursue it more and even tried boxing for a short time.
Frank attended South High and the University of Utah. He served honorably in the United States Navy Reserve. He was a very dedicated and hardworking father in providing for his family. He was a successful businessman who owned and operated Salt Lake Sewing for 65 years, even until the day he passed away. He was awarded Salesman of the Year from Riccar America twice during his career. These awards won him two free trips to Japan.
He is survived by his children; Marsha (Gordon) Reynolds, Vicki (Michael) Ulibarri, Rochelle (Steven) Mears, and Frank P. (Joan) Zumpano Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, May Gout Zumpano, his father, Frank G. Zumpano, his mother, Rachel Lena Santoro Zumpano; 4 great-grandchildren, Addison, Brooklyn, Caitlin Larsen, and Tyson Ulibarri.
Thank you, Dad, for all the beautiful and wonderful memories. You left us with a legacy of love. We love you Dad, and you will be missed. All our love, until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Entombment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
Frank’s obituary will also be available on Legacy.com and in the Salt Lake Tribune online paper Saturday and printed paper Sunday.
