Frank Chavez

Frank S. Chavez, age 91, passed away January 9, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 23,1923 in Rio Arriba, New Mexico. He married Elinor L. Trujillo. Later divorced. He was a paratrooper in the Army and in later years was a sheepherder.
Frank is survived by 3 daughters, Emily (Tom) Lopez, Rose Crane, Carmen Granados and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Alvina and Anita. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Arthur, Sonny and Eddie Chavez.
Many thanks to his granddaughter Michelle (Ronald) Pitcher for always helping him. We would like to thank Willow Wood Care Center and staff for all the extra care they gave to him.
Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the same location. Memories can be shared at www.holladaycottonwoodmortuary.com
