Francisco Lara

It is with great sadness that the family of Francisco Lara announces his passing from this life on Monday April 20, 2020. Fran’s journey began November 14, 1976 to Francisco and Abigail Lara in Elko, Nevada. He is the eldest of his two brothers, Froilan and Antonio. After he graduated from Elko High School, he met the love of his life & sweetheart Araceli, with whom he’s shared his life with for over 20 years. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2003 and together they provided a loving, warm home for their three children Francisco Arzael, Adriela Victoria and Morayma Abigail. Fran will fondly be remembered as soft-spoken, hardworking, loyal and a wonderfully devoted father, husband, and son. Always putting everyone before himself. They will miss his big hugs, his warm cups of chocolate milk at any time of the day, his special ability to always be there for practices, recitals, and school performances and those long talks at the end of every day. The emptiness he now leaves in our hearts will be filled by beautiful, funny, and sweet memories that will always bring a smile to our face and joy too our hearts. Thank you for leaving a positive imprint in every life you touched. We will always cherish and love you.

We understand and appreciate the love everyone has for Francisco. Unfortunately, with a heavy heart we have to inform you that because of the pandemic we will be holding very private services.  We would like to assure everyone that when it is safe to gather, we will be holding a celebration of life for Fran. Con gran tristeza, la familia de Francisco Lara anuncia su fallecimiento el Lunes 20 de Abril de 2020. El legado de Fran comenzó el 14 de Noviembre de 1976 a sus padres Francisco y Abigail Lara en Elko, Nevada. Es el mayor de sus dos hermanos, Froilan y Antonio. Después de graduarse de Elko High School, conoció a su novia y amor de su vida Araceli Plasencia, con quien compartió su vida durante más de 20 años. Se mudaron a Salt Lake City, UT en 2003 y juntos formaron un hogar cálido y amoroso para sus tres hijos Francisco Arzael, Adriela Victoria y Morayma Abigail. Fran será recordado con cariño como un padre, esposo e hijo maravilloso, devoto, trabajador y leal, siempre poniendo a todos antes que a sí mismo. Será extrañado por sus grandes abrazos, sus tazas de leche caliente con choco (leche con chocolate) en cualquier momento del día, su habilidad especial de estar siempre presente para las prácticas, recitales y presentaciones escolares y esas largas conversaciones al final de cada día. El vacío que deja en nuestros corazones ahora se lleno de dulces, hermosos, divertidos recuerdos que siempre traerán una sonrisa a nuestra cara y alegría también a nuestros corazones. Gracias por dejar una huella positiva en cada vida que tocaste. Siempre te apreciaremos y amaremos. No fue suficiente tiempo juntos, pero lo suficiente como para durar para siempre. Nos cuidaste siempre en vida y ahora serás el Ángel que nos cuida desde el cielo.
Entendemos y apreciamos el amor que todos sienten por Francisco. Desafortunadamente, con el dolor de nuestro corazón tenemos que informarles que debido a la pandemia tendremos servicios muy privados. Nos gustaría asegurarles a todos que cuando sea seguro reunirse, celebraremos la vida de Fran. Gracias por su comprensión.
