Frances M. Fullmer

February 25, 1922 — April 6, 2017

God opened his arms and welcomed our Mom back home on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Frances Marie Holst Fullmer was born to Paul and Mette Holst on February 25, 1922. She grew up with three brothers, Lewis, Glen (Casey), Fred and one sister, Martha (Mcintyre). Her father passed when she was 18 and Mom embraced the job of caring for her mother, brothers, and sister. She was the one they could count on for all their needs throughout their lives.
Growing up Mom embraced the Methodist faith. She lived a Christian life and held her beliefs close to her heart. God knows of her love and abidance in Him.
Frances married Amos L. Fullmer on December 6, 1940. Together they built a home in Bountiful, Utah where they raised their four children, David (Loretta), Daniel (Vicki), Russell (Cheryl), Marge’ (Jim Weiss), and cared for her mother who lived with them until her death.
Family meant everything to Mom and each of us will remember her for the different ways she enriched our lives; flying pancakes, gingerbread cookies, spaghetti and meatballs, baby afghans, trips to Depoe Bay with ham, ham, and more ham, fishing trips, birthday shopping, sleigh riding in Summit Park, breakfast after an early morning hunt, and Saturday night dinners to name just a few.
Mom has nine grandchildren whom she loved with her whole heart. To David Jr, Brian, Michelle, Casey, Pauline, Christopher, Amy, Danielle, and Alissa, always remember that Gram loved all of you more than life itself.
Mom moved (kicking and screaming) from her home of 68 years to Legacy House of Bountiful. Leaving her home was tough but she grew to love the staff and the care they provided her. Scott and Sam were her favorites and if you know Mom, being a favorite meant true love. Nick was there every day and it was a comfort knowing a family member was close by if she needed anything. Our family is extremely grateful to everyone at Legacy. Knowing she was safe and cared for gave us peace of mind.
During the last few months, we had the pleasure of meeting the staff of Envision Hospice Care. Mom so appreciated their care and concern. They were there whenever we needed them. Thank you to Amber, Lisa, and Dan.
Mom’s final resting place will be beside our Dad and her family in Spanish Fork, Utah.
