Frances H. Saenz

April 14, 1936 — August 13, 2020

On August 13, 2020, our precious mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away surrounded by her loved ones. Frances was born in Sarcillo, Colorado; she was one of 13 children born to Adolfo and Rumalda “Rumie” Cordova.
After 29 years of service to UTA, she retired in 2000. Our mother was fiercely independent, an amazing cook, and kept an immaculate home. She worked very hard to care for her family. She loved reading, listening to music, and singing. Consider yourself “lucky” if you ever heard her sing, as her voice was absolutely beautiful! She enjoyed talking to and laughing with her siblings. She loved helping others and wouldn’t let one leave her home without a gift. She loved God and was active in her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Our mother was a pillar of strength and a true survivor. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Our hearts will forever have a painful void in them without her.
Frances is survived by her children Gilbert “Sonny” Lettig, Karen Lettig (Walsh), Christy Lettig (Trujillo), and Trina Lettig, along with her 6 siblings, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and lots of nephews and nieces, ALL whom she loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Gilbert T. Lettig and Antonio Hererra Saenz, along with her 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and two daughters Lori DeAnn Lettig and Debbie Ann Lettig.
