On Saturday, June 22, 2019 Frances Erickson, loving and beloved mother of 3, grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 16 and great, great grandmother of 2 passed away at the age of 92.
Frances was born April 24, 1927 to Fredrick George and Ruth (Carter) Hillier in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Velt G Erickson, July 7, 1949 in Rahway, New Jersey. They had three children, Kristine (Jack) Frost, Janean (Elery) Holden, and Malin (Peggy) Erickson.
Although she contracted Polio when she was 22, she was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving as a Relief Society Counselor and Primary Counselor as well as working in the Relief Society as a teacher, secretary and visiting teaching supervisor.
Frances sewed all of her children’s clothes. She loved crafts of all types including counted cross stitch, bead work, and latch hook rugs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Velt, her sister Gwendolyn and brothers, Fred and Wayne.
She is survived by her children, Kristine, Janean and Malin, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and her brothers, Ron, and Robert Hillier and their spouses.
A viewing will be held will on Monday, July 15th, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Monticello First Ward Chapel, followed by a graveside service at the Monticello Cemetery.Service Information
