Fran Louise McCleery Fish

Our beloved Mother, Fran Louise McCleery Fish, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Washington, UT. Fran was born in Long Beach, CA on January 25, 1941. She lived her entire life in Utah since the age of 2.

Fran was such a blessing in the lives of numerous people throughout her 84-year journey on earth. We are at peace knowing that she is reunited with her wonderful, eternal husband, Ken Fish, and so many other loved ones… “Family Reunions” were always one of Mom’s favorite events in life!!!

 Fran thoroughly enjoyed her 35-year career with the State of Utah. She served for several years training State Notary Publics. She concluded her career serving as Office Receptionist to 4 Utah Governors. Fran also served in several community service roles such as PTA President and Chairwoman for the Festival of Trees in Salt Lake City. Fran enjoyed actively serving in teaching and leadership assignments for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout the many years of her life. Countless numbers of youth were grateful to refer to Fran as “their second Mom” !!

 Fran graduated from Granger High School in 1959. During her senior year she met Ken Fish. They were married in August 1959 (marriage later solemnized for Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple- June 1971). Ken preceded her in death in December 2022. Fran is survived by all 4 of her children: Cory William (Kathryn) Fish- Twin Falls, ID; Michael Troy Fish- Logan, UT; Sandra Kim (Jeff) Stokes- Rigby, ID; Kris Louise (Scott) Moffitt- Santa Clara, UT. She is also survived by her brother Ronald (Donna) McCleery- Magna, UT. Fran has 23 Grandchildren and 47 Great Grandchildren.

 Fran is also preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Louise Reynolds McCleery (December 2002); her younger brother, Steven Raymond McCleery (September 2001); and her younger sister, Shauna Diane McCleery (August 2024).

 Funeral services for Fran will be held on Saturday, February 15 at Noon at the Sandy Utah Hillcrest Stake Center- 8485 South 1000 East; viewing is scheduled for that same day from 9:30 – 11:30 am. Graveside Service will be held at 3 pm at the Memorial Estates: Mountain View Cemetery… 3115 East Bengal BLVD- Cottonwood Heights, UT.
