Folole Aloi Leo peacefully returned to the loving arms of our Father in Heaven on July 2, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones at home in Magna, Utah.
Folole was born on July 21, 1951, in the Moto’otua Government Hospital of Western Samoa, to Ulimasao Aloi of Samata Savaii and Fa’animo Taula Aloi of Moata’a Upolu. Folole comes from a close-knit family, and she is one of ten children. In 1967 she moved to American Samoa where she met and married the love of her life, Amato Leo. Folole and Amato were married on November 26, 1973 and were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Utah Temple on May 17, 2014.
Folole (Flo) was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. A few of her interests included singing, dancing and her favorite: family time. Her love for her family was profound and strong. That love she had for her family was rivaled only by her love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served faithfully, for much of her life, in many capacities without reluctance or complaint. Her faith was evidenced by her endurance through the many adversities she faced in her life. When faced with these tribulations, including the premature loss of her beloved husband, and her progressively declining health, she was able to handle it all with a smile and grace. She had an innate ability to make anyone feel loved and important by not only what she would say but especially what she would do. She exemplified and lived what it meant to love through action.
She is survived by her loving mother Fa’animo Taula Aloi, four beloved children, daughter Juliana (Mervyn), son Michael (Tina), daughter Tauavea (Junior), and son Talai (Lota); 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 10, 2021 at 3970 S. 5200 W. West Valley City, UT
