Floris Taylor Cloward

Floris Taylor Cloward passed away at home on March 12, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born August 8, 1935 to Ward Ray Taylor and Rula Ann Buchanan in Burrville, Utah. She was the oldest of 7 children.
Floris grew up on a farm in Wayne County, Utah. Graduated from Wayne High School and attended Snow College.
Floris married Charles Rodney Cloward, June 9, 1956 in Loa, Utah, when he asked her to follow him to Alaska. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with 6 children. Floris was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in Relief Society, Young Women’s, Primary, Scouting and as a Food Storage Specialist. She also served a service mission at the Bishops Storehouse.
Floris had many hobbies that she enjoyed; reading, crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She was willing to share her knowledge with anyone.
She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and family, taking as many trips as they could fit in. Also taking day trips with Rodney, just to go for a drive.
As her family grew, so did the love that she had for them, hosting many holiday get together to keep her family close. She lovingly included friends of the children and grandchildren, those in the ward whose families were not close by – each felt welcomed and loved by her.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Rodney Cloward: her children Russell (Juli), Susan (Kay) Page, Diane Smith, Karen (Kip) Mautner, Lori (Michael) Bench, and Jason (Deb); 38 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Franklin, Richard and Darl; a grandson Denton and great-granddaughter, Azure Bench.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018, 11:00 am at the LDS Church located at 3836 W 4100 S, where viewings will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm and prior to the funeral 10:00-10:45 am.Service Information
