Florencio Paul Montoya, age 72, passed away quietly and peacefully at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 4, 2014. Born June 18, 1941 in Questa, NM to Pete Gilbert and Oclides Montoya.
Paul was a proud US Army veteran and the long time care he received from the VA is deeply appreciated and will forever be remembered by his family. Paul was a skilled craftsman and always had a project going. He could take a yard sale find and turn it into a priceless keepsake.
Paul is survived by Denise Montoya, John, Nathan; brothers Jimmie (Deanna), Robert (Peggy); sisters Bernice (Dave) Meyer, Ruth (Jim) Ludwig, Lorraine (Larry) Renzetti; many nieces and nephews, cousinis and friends. Preceded in death by parents and brother Gabriel Montoya.
The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, June 11 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, from 10 – 11:00 am with a service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 Camp Williams Road at 12:30 pm. Vaya Con Dios!
